Spinbrek ("the App"), formerly known as Pause Now, is developed and operated by Eagle Nguyen, an individual developer based in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using Spinbrek, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Spinbrek does not require an account, and we never collect your name, email address, contacts, or your Screen Time data.
Most of the App's data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (Hive and SharedPreferences) and never leaves it. This includes:

To make these features work without an account, the App creates a random anonymous ID the first time you use one of them. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or device identity. It is only used to recognize your own submissions (for example, so you can see your pending ideas and vote only once per idea).
We collect anonymous product usage events to understand how the App is used and improve it, such as which onboarding screens are viewed, which features are used (for example, starting a session or spinning the wheel), and the general answers you choose during onboarding (such as an age range or screen time estimate). These events do not include your Screen Time data, the apps you block, the text of your wheel entries, or your name.
Content you submit through Suggest a Feature and Feedback, along with your anonymous ID, is stored using Supabase. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Anonymous usage analytics are processed by PostHog. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.
Spinbrek uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect information necessary to process transactions, such as an anonymous app user ID and purchase history. This data is governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy, available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
On iOS, purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
On Android, purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play. Google's handling of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
On iOS, Spinbrek uses Apple's FamilyControls and Screen Time APIs to block apps and display your screen time. These APIs operate entirely on-device. No app usage data is transmitted to us or any third party.
On Android, Spinbrek uses the Accessibility Service to detect which app is in the foreground and enforce blocking, and Usage Access to measure app usage for time limits and screen time stats. This data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted externally.
Spinbrek schedules local notifications on your device, such as session and break reminders. These are created on-device and do not involve any external server.
We use the information described above solely to:
We do not sell, trade, or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other apps. Data is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 3, solely to operate the App. Approved feature ideas and comments are visible to other Spinbrek users, always without your name.
Data stored on your device is permanently removed when you uninstall Spinbrek.
Content you submitted (feature ideas, comments, votes, and feedback) is stored on our servers until it is deleted. Because this content is anonymous, uninstalling the App does not remove it. To request deletion, contact us at pause.now.2026@gmail.com with the text of the idea, comment, or feedback you would like removed, and we will delete it. Anonymous usage analytics are retained in aggregate to improve the App.
Spinbrek is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used this App, please contact us at pause.now.2026@gmail.com.
Data on your device is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.). Content you submit and anonymous analytics are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our service providers listed in Section 3. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we only collect the minimum data needed to run these features.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
